About Us

My name is Sophie Laycock and I have been a practising massage therapist for 20 years. I have worked from top end spa chains, boutique spa hotels and for many years now as a busy and successful self-employed therapist.
The years spent working within this inspiring and rewarding field have provided me with a wealth of experience and insight as well as allowing me to work with clients suffering a wide variety of conditions, both physical and emotional. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to train and become certified in a number of hugely beneficial and wonderful treatments, as well as becoming a fully qualified sound therapy practitioner.
I am constantly reminded of the benefits that massage can bring. From treating dis'ease' to detoxifying and stress relieving, I believe massage and the power of good intention through touch can create a hugely positive environment in which the body can heal itself.
While pregnant with my son, I took a KG Hypnobirthing course and was so overwhelmed by the power and effectiveness of it, I knew it was something I wanted to train in and pass on. I completed my training in London and received a diploma in the KG Hypnobirthing method, a course fully accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.
I am passionate about working with expectant mothers, helping them relax, let go of subconscious fears and regain control. By first removing the negative stereotypes we can have of childbirth, it is so often brought back to the natural, instinctive, peaceful process that it can be.
Now based in Lyme Regis, I feel very privileged to be able to offer a wide range of treatments and courses from such a special location. Close to the sea and the beautiful Dorset/Devon countryside, I hope to create a healing space where you can take a step away, breathe, relax and come back to yourself. You will also find me popping up in venues across the area to offer sound baths and sound healing sessions.
